Fun fact: Julie will be doing her first Ironman at Mont Tremblant this year. She has three great kids which already makes her a triple ironman! Julie is a positive and upbeat female triathlete role model! A cheerleader for the Tristar team we can’t wait to be there to cheer her on as she finishes her first ironman.
Bio, goals and races, tactics: Julie has stepped up each season from Olympic to Half Ironman and now full Ironman. Her goal is to have a great finish and race at Ironman Mont Tremblant and nail her nutrition along the way.
Julie has incrementally raised her FTP’s over the past three years through her training plan and Tristar methods.
Julie has worked in recent months on her total endurance levels as well as her bio mechanics of swimming, biking and running.
She also trains with a Wahoo Kicrk/Zwift setup to raise her bike potential.
Part of her training has been dedicated to higher intensity factor sessions designed to help her bike well this year.
Consistency; Julie maintains a very high load of training year (The right amount!) round which helps her to peak higher than others in her age group.
