Level I Coaches start off working weekly with Tristar Athletes Principal Coach Cliff Scherb online via live video chat Q&A how to start building your coaching skills. Learn everything you need to know in how to apply Tristar Athletes official licensed training plans, protocols and workouts to your athletes based on their goals and season planning. Ask questions about specific athletes or general principles of coaching and get started with confidence in your coaching work. From time to time when starting a new athlete you will need to help them determine their starting CTL’s. This is especially the case with either no data or bad data in training peaks. All athletes will need some level of starting oversight to make sure they are on the right track unless they have been charting their training stress for their athletic careers.

Please learn more below about each programs benefits, terms, and costs. Coaches who have already certified with the USAT or other governing body may test out of TSA Level I or TSA Level II depending on their experience levels.
Certified Coaching Program income and costs
The apprenticeship program offers upward mobility and a potential coaching career path.
With each level the total income as well as experience of the coach rises. A greater take home percentage is awarded to those coaches with more tenure and athletes.
Figures below are sustained athletes and may be more depending on the number and mix of athletes you are working with.
Level I coaches may only work with a maximum of 5 athletes and level II up to 15 sustained athletes at one time. Level III can coach 20+ depending on their career and life goals.
Proficient coaches with experience and accelerated training may work with more athletes on an approved case by case basis.
If there are no athletes to coach, the program fee is $600/month. (Two athletes sustained in coaching per month is break even to pay for the apprenticeship certification program.)
