What do you like most about your training plan?: I love that I don't have to think if I don't want to - the plan is there and ready for me every day in a super clear, easy to understand format. I've also noticed that my training plan is scarily accurate! On the workouts when I think to myself "I'll just see what I can do and not follow the specifics of pace and effort", I end up performing exactly as the plan had suggested! It seems that my coach knows exactly what I am capable of at every step of my training and the workouts are perfectly aligned as a result!
Why did you chose to work with Team Tristar Athletes: I had trained with Megan for several years on and off prior to joining Tristar and always loved her humor and down to earth vibe. After a break from the sport, I started thinking seriously about training again and Megan was my first call. She become my Tri 'Yoda'. She knew all the best places to train, had connections with great people that she introduced me to and got me set up with all the gear I would need to make a real run at my first full Ironman distance.
What was the best part of your coaching experience?: The best part of my coaching experience is the interaction with the coaches and the rest of the team at races, training camps and online in our various chat groups. Its not just training, Tristar provides a whole community of awesome, supportive athletes at all levels of their sport.
