Fun facts: Jose has epic training grounds where he lives, running at altitude on dirt trails and while getting excellent heat acclimation. Honduras can be a challenging place to train but for this Tristar Athlete he has excelled in these conditions! Jose has a wonderful family and like many other Tristars trains hard and works hard 💪🏻
Bio, goals and races: Jose recently raced the Costa Rica 70.3 where he placed 3rd in his age group to qualify for the half ironman world championships in NICE. He first has a big goal of doing well this year at Ironman Copenhagen, going faaaast! He is in great shape and should be fun to watch on the course.
Jose has a “dagger” of a run and uses running power to control his efforts and intervals. You should see his track workouts!
Even though Jose is one of our far flung Tristars, he does have a great local network of athletes that he can tap into to train with on the bike to keep motivated and push his limits.

Jose has developed a deeper aerobic base on the run that he had not had in previous seasons. We have targeted for his training plan physiologically specific MAF HR runs.

Adam Daniels is a coach, ultra runner and triathlete based in Boulder, CO. Adam developed his passion for triathlon after many years as a runner and much encouragement from his peers to give it a “tri”. After suffering an injury, Adam started swimming and biking to satisfy his need for an active lifestyle. “It was a much needed break from the thousands of running miles logged training and racing. I developed a whole new competitive drive”. So Adam set out to take on the triathlon world.

As the founder and principal coach of TriStar Athletes LLC, he works with the ELITE and MENTORSHIP teams to help athletes, balance training stress, nutrition, and peak for top performances. Coaching for 15+ years with over 250+ life years of coaching experience, Cliff imparts this knowledge to aspiring athletes and coaches.
